GPS fleet management and its various types


GPS fleet management is a very cost effective tool used by various businesses for managing their fleet. A GPS vehicle tracking device can be considered as an umbrella that can include various systems under it like message dispatch, job ticketing, vehicle repair and maintenance, map tracking, vehicle tracking, custom integration, wireless integration etc.

  • net based subscription service
Management of a fleet through PC can be considered a better option compared to a net based subscription service as it has an additional advantage of communicating with third party software system. Unlike PC fleet management, a net based subscription service involves a monthly fee. Though both these systems are very useful, management of fleet through PC can prove more cost efficient.

Apart from these fleet management systems, there are other fleet management services which make use of GPS tracking technology. With the co-ordination of this base software and in-vehicle hardware, a company can benefit by doing necessary cost cutting and this in turn can also increase the efficiency and productivity of the company.
